Built to Power: COIL Innovation Opens Largest Site Expansion in Company History

Eferding. On May 22nd, the time had finally come: under the motto “Built to Power”, we celebrated the successful completion of our largest investment to date with over 400 guests. With the grand opening at our Eferding location, we are opening the next major chapter in our company’s history. Among the guests, we had the honor of welcoming the Governor of Upper Austria, Mag. Thomas Stelzer.

After an intensive construction phase and incredible dedication from everyone involved, we were able to toast to our expansion alongside our team, partners, and guests. This record investment of 35 million euros is far more than just a new building for us—it is a clear commitment to this location and the foundation for our technological market leadership!

More Room for Our Future

To meet the growing global demand and significantly increase our capacities, we have set the course for growth:

· New Testing Laboratory: The absolute highlight and the new centerpiece of our site is our state-of-the-art high-voltage testing laboratory—the largest in Europe—which we officially put into operation during the festivities.

· Plus 60% Production Capacity: Our new production hall offers around 2,000 m² of space for our state-of-the-art production equipment and our new, highly specialized in-house cable production to deepen our value creation.

· Modern Workspaces: A 650-square-meter office extension creates an optimal environment for our constantly growing team.

Sustainability We Live By

As a company actively contributing to the global energy transition, it was of central importance to us to consistently prioritize sustainability in our own infrastructure as well. The new building energy concept reflects our values:

· Efficient Climate Control: Heating and cooling are handled in a modern and environmentally friendly way using air-source heat pumps.

· Own Solar Power: A large-scale photovoltaic system on the roof supplies a significant portion of the required energy directly on-site.

The expansion celebration on May 22nd was not just the ceremonial handing over of the keys, but above all, a big thank you.
