Coil Innovation has been awarded a major contract by ABB Sweden for the supply of air-core reactors to India, where under the project name RP800 an Ultra-High-Voltage DC Transmission (UHVDC-) Link will be built between Raigarh in Central India and Pugalur in South India. With a distance of 1830 km this link is among the longest UHVDC Links in the world. The new 800 kV DC Link with a maximum transmission power of 6000 MW Link will bring electricity to more than 80 million people. Coil Innovation will supply all necessary air-core reactors, such as smoothing-, filter- and PLC reactors.
